Creating Confidence to Care

The Emergency First Response course teaches participants on how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. This first aid course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice. To conclude that participants have the confidence to provide care, to the best of their abilities, when emergency situations arise.

During this course you will learn the following primary care skills:

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • Including the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Serious Bleeding Management
  • Shock Management
  • Spinal Injury Management
  • Conscious and Unconscious Choking Management

In additional, you will also learn to provide secondary care once the patient is stabilized with the following:

  • Assessment of Wounds
  • Assessment of Illnesses
  • Splinting Fractures

We recommend to keep your First Aid skills refreshed on a yearly basis.

If you wish to do your PADI Rescue Diver Course, or become a PADI Divemaster, then the Emergency First Response certification is required.
