PADI Rescue Diver
The PADI Rescue Diver course is the course divers are probably most proud of having it in the pocket. Becoming a Rescue Diver is extremely fun and one of the most rewarding courses within the PADI range. You learn to look more around you, yes you will see more beautiful sights, but more importantly; you learn to anticipate problems and on how to assist in an emergency.
The PADI Rescue Diver course focuses on the diving environment, preventing and dealing with potential problems. The more we dive, the more comfortable we get and the more we loose sight of the safety aspects.
What you will learn
In the PADI Rescue Diver course you will learn to deal with all kinds of diving related problems. We cover not only the most horrific and diverse disaster scenarios, but you also learn how to deal with minor discomforts, such as a tired diver, cramps or an out-of-air situation.
The theorie
Learn about diving physiology, materials and psychology from divers under stress or panic. The theory can be done digitally and contains a lot of useful information and knowledge that can be adapted to everyday life.
Rescue Skills
We teach you the rescue skills in a sheltered environment. This is to be able to practice all skills first and to familiarize yourself with different actions. The nice thing is that no situation is the same. Everyone reacts differently to a situation. We give you the basics, but we are also open to trying new techniques. There is no one right way, the right way is helping. That means that you also have your own input in this course.
Rescue Scenarios
In the open water part of the course we will work with two (2) scenarios, in which we put everything that we learned into practice. This is the time to shine! The preparation with the rescue exercises allows you to act quickly and almost instinctively. You work together with other students to bring everything to the best possible conclusion. The element of surprise also makes it a very fun course for your instructor to teach, but try to still enjoy the dive before we get started.
